MacKinnon Construction is very proud to offer our customers concrete countertops and other fine concrete products for interior and exterior use, and for residential and commercial applications.
Concrete counters have adorned kitchens and bathrooms for years and have been popular throughout the country. Concrete counters are now gaining popularity here in New England. With an oversaturation of granite and engineered solid surfaces, concrete gives you the chance to have something unique, something to spark a conversation when visitors come to your home or clients go to your business. Not only is the material unique, it also can be formed into almost anything you can imagine, ensuring that your countertop will be one of a kind.
Almost every aspect of a concrete countertop is able to be customized. Colors can vary from its natural grey to white and all the way through black; the sands and aggregates also can be varied and include recycled glass, beach sands, reflective aggregates and luminous aggregates. Another benefit of using concrete is that is not governed by slab thicknesses such as granite and other engineered stones. Concrete can also be molded to almost any shape.
Concrete is not only limited to kitchen countertops. MacKinnon Construction also designs and builds bathroom vanities with integrated sinks, tub surrounds and matching concrete tiles; fire place surrounds; decorative wall panels; and dining and coffee table tops. Outside kitchens, fire pits and water features are all possible in concrete. The durability of concrete allows it to be used in both residential and commercial applications.
